Philadelphia Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Three Armed Robberies

PHILADELPHIA—Marvin Gibson, 39, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced today to 15 years in prison for three armed robberies in Philadelphia. Gibson and his co-defendant Jackson Doggette, also of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act robbery and firearms charges. Philadelphia La Cosa Nostra Associate Sentenced to 33 Months in Prison

WASHINGTON—Louis Barretta, 48, of Philadelphia, was sentenced today to 33 months in prison for his participation in a racketeering conspiracy involving loan sharking and illegal gambling, announced Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division; Zane David Memeger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and George C.
